This project is part of the TEM (Trans European Motorway) project, which is to be constructed through the whole of Europe. Currently, the total length of the project in Europe is approximately 25,000 km and the Turkish part is approximately 7,000 km.
The project consists of 251kms dual 4-lane carriageway, 58 kms dual 3-lane carriageway, 4 viaducts of total length 3472 metres, 24 overpass and 3 underpass bridges, 19 intersection bridges, 1 river bridge, 2 operation & maintenance centres, 6 parking areas, 4 service areas, 12 intersections and 12 toll collection stations.

Project: Deriner Dam & HEPP Project

SSB Group, as part of the ERG Group, participated in the construction of the Deriner Dam and Hydro Electric Power Plant, a world megastructure, having total project costs in excess of EUR 2bn. 90 percent of Deriner Dam Civil Construction Works and Civil Work Organization was done by SSB and its sister companies. All of the strategic construction equipment and machinery, as well as more than 55,000 tons of the steel structure, were manufactured in-house. The total amount of earth moving/excavation performed was 35 million cubic meters. The project was turnkey (EPC+F (Finance)) and financed by Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) with the sovereign guarantee of the Turkish Treasury arranged by ERG in 1998. The hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) can produce 2.118GWh.

Project: AFSİN ELBİSTAN-A thermal power station

SSB Group, as part of a consortium with ERG international, won the tender for one of the largest energy plants in Turkey called AFSİN ELBİSTAN-A thermal power station. The objective was to modernize, extend and operate the 4×344 MW facility for 20 years. The project was a TOR + BOT with a 20-year project lifespan and came with a power purchasing agreement (PPA) with the government, guaranteeing the electricity export at a fixed price for the 20-year period.
